SECRETARIES REPORT
Motion by Jim Pegasus, seconded by Sue Phillips to accept the secretary’s minutes as posted. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Gil Hucek reported that we currently have:
$ 9,742.20 checking
43,116.01 savings
$52,858.21 total
Motion by Jim Stupka, seconded by Paul Yakowenko to accept the treasurer’s report as read. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS
NFPA CONFERENCE AND ASSOCIATED COSTS
Steve Koback explained to the membership that the funds were approved by the board to send Dave Lind and Tod Doebler to the NFPA conference with the expenses not to exceed $4600.00.
FALL CONFERENCE
Steve Koback reported that Ron Omernick and the committee are on track and that they have about 50% of the slots filled for speakers. R Omernick did ask for speakers. The department of commerce will be asked to assign one or two persons to each class they are going to teach.
WEB PAGE
The membership was asked to look at the website (WSFIA.ORG) for new additions and features on the website.
AWARDS COMMITTEE
Steve Koback introduced Smokey Joe Eklund who showed a video of the program he uses in his schools. He was the recipient of last years award.
Steve Koback presented a check for $2000.00 to the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety for the burn camp from the Association.
Steve Koback presented an award to outgoing recording secretary Tim Rasmussen for years of service to the Association.
Steve Koback presented the Fire Safety Educator of the Year to Paul Yakowenko from the Bloomfield –Genoa City Fire Department. Paul was nominated by four different individuals from his area.
FIRE FIGHTER MEMORIAL
Steve Koback reported that the memorial raffle is up and running, all monies be forwarded to memorial Fund, thru ticket sales, 90,000 tickets have been distributed, and they are hoping to sell 100,000, if 100,000 sell there will be no more fund raisers, they will have gathered enough money.
FIRE SERVICE 2% DUES LIAISON COMMITTEE
Coordinators are out training right now and audits will begin in early 2006 for the 2005-year.
WEARS AND NOVELTIES
Steve Koback reported that they are looking for someone to take over the wears and novelties for the Association.
SITE SELECTION
Steve Koback reported that the fall conference for 2006 will be a combined conference with the public education, juvenile firesetter codes and tank program combined into one conference.
S Koback also reported that the fall code conference will be held in Wausau this year at the Plaza Hotel and Suites on October 24 to 27, 2005.
